Spinach Salad Recipe from our Pretty in Pink Party

Spinach Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing

SERVES 8-10

• Dressing
• 1 ¹⁄₂ teaspoons salt
• ³⁄₄ cup white vinegar
• 1 ¹⁄₂ cups oil
• ¹⁄₂ cup sugar
• ½ bell pepper
• 1 tablespoon poppy seed
• 1 teaspoon dry mustard

Put all ingredients in blender and mix until well blended.  Pour over sliced onion and mushrooms.  Refrigerate overnight. Very important!

Note for Dressing: This makes a lot, 1 batch will be enough for 2 salads

• Salad
• ¹⁄₂ red onion, sliced thinly
• ¹⁄ ₂lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
• ¹⁄₂-1 lb grated swiss cheese, grated (I have also made this with fancy cheddar cheese and it is just as good.
• 1lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
• 1 bunch spinach (I use a 10oz bag)
• 1 head romaine or iceberg lettuce

Toss salad ingredients together and mix in dressing just before serving.

Family Discovery Day

Temple Van and 31+ Singles Activity

Just a quick report on the temple trip on Friday, April 17th and the Acrosanti trip on April 18th.  We had a moderate turn out on the temple van.  I have taken a picture that I hope shows you a little better how luxurious it is to ride down together in this beautiful van.  We all had a wonderful time enjoying the temple and getting to know each other better.

Sister Howe reports to me that they had a great turnout for the 31+Singles trip to Acrosanti!  So glad we are getting out there and enjoying those activities together singles. Don't forget our next activity on May 9th.  We will be doing birdwatching (led by Eric Moore).

Pretty in Pink

A big thank you to the countless people who attended our "Pretty In Pink" event!  It was wonderful to enjoy each other and celebrate the achievements of the Primary and Young Women.  We enjoyed celebrating the new sisters among us as well. 

Our servers were amazing!!
