WOMEN'S CONFERENCE -
August 20th from 9-3:30 p.m.
Prescott Valley Stake
Center
Sisters, this conference is going to be a spirit-filled
event you will not want to miss. We have some incredible speakers coming
including the Phoenix Temple Matron (Karen Gilliland) and the Counselor from
LDS Family Services we had last year (Hannah Eiselin) as well as others.
There will be beautiful musical numbers and many service opportunities to bless
your life. Feel the energy of serving with 150 other women and see how
much we can accomplish.
We are asking for donations for the Hungry Kids
Project (food for children on the weekends) and children's clothing for
schools. Please bring donations with you.
The chapel session will be from 9-11:30 am. We will be
rotating lunch from 11:30 am to 2 pm while we simultaneously serve.
We will be serving girls in 3rd world countries by making personal hygiene
supplies. Please bring a sewing machine or serger if you can, although
there are cutting opportunities as well. We will be indexing (if possible
bring a laptop). Sign up for our blood drive at www.bloodhero.com (Sponsor
code: PVLDS). We will also have the opportunity to meet with
representatives from local area charities and learn about service opportunities
through www.justserve.org
We encourage all sisters to find their own babysitter
whenever possible. If you cannot find one, please contact your Relief
Society President to help you find someone who might be able to assist
you. If you have a "baby in arms" please feel free to
keep them with you at the women's conference.
Come fill your soul with light so you can "Be Bright!
" and "Share His Light".
