Cannery Assignment

Look at our wonderful crew from Agua Fria ward.  Aren't they a beautiful sight?  We were making spaghetti sauce.  We all had a lot of fun and enjoyed the fellowship and joy that comes from serving our fellow men in need.  Thank you everyone for helping us fill our assignment.  We had 15 people from the Prescott Valley Stake.  A worker at the cannery told me that is more than they get from many of the local stakes.  We did awesome!

Phoenix Temple Cleaning

As a stake we have a great opportunity to clean the Phoenix Temple on April 7th through April 10th.  Each ward is assigned a night although those unable to attend on the designated ward night can sign up for the others.  The sign ups for the clean up are scheduled to occur this Sunday (March 29th).
Cleaning starts at 9 p.m. each evening.  What a great way to involve endowed members with current temple recommends just returning or beginning their temple experience.  What an opportunity to spend some quiet time in the temple as we work while enjoying the fellowship of one another.

April 7th - Del Rio and Stoneridge
April 8th - Dewey and Agua Fria
April 9th - Territorial and Glassford Hill
April 10th - Paulden and Mingus Foothills

Please contact your High Priest Group Leader or Relief Society President if you want to sign up.

Temple Van

Our "temple van" (i.e., the Barney's) made its maiden voyage to the temple on Friday. What a beautiful opportunity for all of us to go to the temple.  There were nine of us.  It was so enjoyable to ride in such comfort with beautiful views and plenty of space.  Thank you Barney's for a wonderful experience.  We are looking forward to our next temple trip on April l7th.  Please check the stake calendar for details.

Tri-Ward Relief Society Picnic Birthday Celebration

On Thursday night, the three Chino Valley wards combined for a picnic dinner.  The Argyle's were the guest speakers on atonement.  Each sister was given a plant.  The food was delicious and there was plenty for everyone.  What a warm welcome was received by all who attended.  Wonderful evening sisters!

Be-You-Tiful

Thursday night Mingus Foothills Ward had a very special celebration of the Relief Society's birthday.  They had a lovely dinner, wonderful motivational speakers and just look at the darling cupcakes everyone received.  Each table was decorated individually by different sisters.  What a great team effort.

Agua Fria Relief Society Sister's Auction

Agua Fria Ward Relief Society had a Sister's Auction.  They brought to share service or something they made to be auctioned off.  They "earned" money by taking a quiz and then began bidding on items they wanted.  It was a lot of fun for everyone and really built fellowship.  We love our talented sisters!
